Wellesley College

Wellesley College is a private women’s liberal arts college in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Founded in 1870 as a female seminary, it is a member of the Seven Sisters Colleges, a grouping of current and former women’s colleges in the northeast. It is also a member of a number of exchange programs with other small colleges, including opportunities for students to study a year at Amherst, Connecticut, Dartmouth, Mount Holyoke, Smith, Trinity, Vassar, Wesleyan, and Wheaton. The 500-acre campus overlooks Lake Waban and includes evergreen, deciduous woodlands, open meadows, and houses the Davis Museum and a botanic garden. For more than 50 years, Wellesley has offered a cross-registration program with MIT under the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP).
