Founded in 1801, Woodstock Academy is an independent, day and boarding, coeducational secondary school located in the rural northeastern corner of Connecticut, centrally located between Hartford, Providence and Worcester, and roughly mid-way between New York & Boston.

Woodstock offers a rigorous academic program that allows students the freedom of course selection while insuring that students learn in a twenty-first century educational environment. The Woodstock Academy campus has a mixture of historic and modern buildings, giving the classic academic atmosphere with the benefits of a 21st century education. Woodstock Academy has a fully functioning student cafeteria, library, gymnasium, auditorium and stage, computer labs, art studios, high ropes course, athletic complex and much more.

Special Highlights

Family & Consumer Science. The Family and Consumer Science program offers quality studies in the areas of Fashion Technology, Foods Science, Culinary Arts, and Human Development. Students enrolled in these 10 classes will acquire and enhance an understanding of the relationship between individuals, families, communities, and the environment in which they live.

Consumer, Business & Technology. Students can enhance their technological education with Innovative Technology, Web Page Design, Desktop Publishing, Visual C++ Programing, and A+/PC Repair. Students can add creativity to their technological education with courses in Exploring Multimedia, Broadcasting, 3D Animation and Game Design, and Computer Aided Design in Engineering and Architecture. Students can take a hands-on approach to vocational education with Wood Technology 1&2 and Building Construction. Business-minded students can prepare for future careers with courses in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Law, and Personal Finance.
