The Episcopal Academy is a coeducational, college preparatory, day school enrolling approximately 1200 students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. The Academy is committed to developing each student’s ‘Mind, Body, Spirit’ through a variety of challenging academic, athletic, extracurricular, and religious programs and activities. Completed in 2008 and situated on 123 scenic acres in Newtown Square, our state-of-the-art campus houses an upper, middle, and lower school, and offers students every opportunity to thrive.

Academics

Our classical, liberal arts education is supported by the latest digital tools. Courses in app development, computer programming, and engineering provide Upper Schoolers with real-world opportunities to explore the ever-evolving IT landscape. Middle School students may participate in Robotics or gain problem-solving skills through a Minecraft elective. Lower Schoolers learn everything from coding to design thinking in their very own maker lab IDEA Studio.

Special Highlights

Crawford Campus Center Gallery. The Crawford Campus Center Gallery is an integral part of the visual arts curriculum at The Episcopal Academy. Through exhibitions and projects that include curated work of visiting artists, cross-curricular collaborations, and student shows, the Gallery inspires students, educators, artists, and all who visit.

Esse Quam Videri Society. Esse Quam Videri (EQV) is a student leadership group made up of 10 EA seniors who are elected by their peers and the Upper School faculty on the basis of leadership potential and proven senses of integrity, honesty, and respect. The function of the group is two-fold: it seeks to cultivate a positive and inclusive culture in the school community and it seeks to grow the leadership capacities of each of the EQV members.
