The Hun School of Princeton is an independent coeducational college preparatory school, nestled on an idyllic forty-five acre campus, less than two miles from downtown Princeton and Princeton University. Students in grades six through a post-graduate year comprise a student body of 614, representing a diverse blend of nationalities, races, religions, and traditions. The Hun School is home to 150 resident students from across the country and world, as well as 28 members of the faculty.

The Hun School provides a diverse community that places a high value on a creative and rigorous traditional college preparatory curriculum in a structured environment; develops character, community and values; meets the students’ differing talents, interests and academic needs through a supportive staff in a variety of programs; and encourages students to widen their horizons, gain an appreciation for and an excitement about learning and achieve their full potential.

 Academics

For almost 100 years, we have embraced the mission of John Gale Hun by focusing the maximum attention to a student’s individual needs. As we move in to our next century, we carry forth this tradition of excellence with a new focus on preparing Hun School graduates for a world of constant change. Traditional courses might take place around a Harkness table or among a sea of iPads. Or, a student can produce his own episode of CSI in collaboration with his media arts, theatre, and forensic science teachers. Lessons are dynamic, innovative, personal, and un-prescribed.

 Special Highlights

Arthur Rozas International Student Program. The Hun School’s Arthur Rozas International Student Program enables students to achieve English language competency at a level that will allow them to be successful in an American college or university. In addition to English, the Arthur Rozas International Student Program includes “American Studies,” a course designed to expose students to American culture through the examination of History, Economics, and Politics.

iPad Initiative. The Hun School iPad Initiative provides tools for teachers and students to enhance technological literacy, promote creativity and collaboration, enable interactive and engaged learning experiences, support differentiated instruction, and make learning accessible to students from any location at any time.
