Hebron Academy is a small, independent, college preparatory boarding and day school for boys and girls in grades six through postgraduate. Students from across the United States and around the world are challenged and inspired to reach their highest potential in mind, body, and spirit through small classes, knowledgeable and caring teachers who provide individual attention, and a friendly, respectful, family atmosphere.
Hebron Academy is known for its friendly, supportive environment that encourages young people to reach their potential. Here, teachers encourage students to reach for something more than they thought possible, students are comfortable trying new things and seeking help and guidance from their teachers, everyone is encouraged to be actively involved in the school community, and each person can and does make a difference.
Academics
Whether through dormitory commitments, the campus stewardship program, community service at the local elementary school or fundraising for Go! Malawi, a community outreach program in Africa, Hebron students learn to recognize their connection and responsibility to something larger than themselves.
Special Highlights
Community Service. Trailblazers, Hebron’s outdoor skills program, provides an alternative to interscholastic athletics yet affords students an excellent way maintain physical activity. A primary goal of Hebron’s Outdoor Ed is to provide students with the life-long skills and knowledge essential for safe and comfortable backcountry travel.
Social Activities. Got a journalistic niche to be filled? Hebron’s student-run newspaper affords students opportunities to develop salient writing, reporting, and interviewing skills and is open to all. The Hebronian is released twice yearly and is available online.
