Gould prepares academically motivated students for college and helps them to become independent-minded, ethical citizens who will lead lives of purpose, action, excellence, and compassion in a dynamic world. Our compassionate faculty, focus on the life of the mind, and exceptional surroundings creates an environment where students learn to risk and are rewarded with knowing their true selves. They go on to the colleges or universities that they choose as the right fit. They pursue the dreams that they’ve laid out for themselves.
Academics
Gould offers a challenging core curriculum that prepares students for college and beyond. Through our One to One Laptop Initiative, we are committed to embracing and engaging the digital tools required for success in a world that is increasingly reliant on ideas, analysis, and innovation. We offer a unique breadth of programming for a school of 250, and we challenge our students to try new things where they often discover their passions.
Special Highlights
Rugrats. For over 25 years, the Gould Academy Rugrats Program has offered a great way for Gould students to get on the slopes while giving back to the local community. Through a partnership between Gould Academy, Sunday River’s Perfect Turn Ski Instruction Program, and local elementary schools, Gould students work with third, fourth, and fifth graders, instructing them to ski and snowboard.

What the school looks for in students…
“With a community of 250 students, we are looking for students who are willing to immerse themselves in our community. Truly, we are looking for not only strong, driven students, but those who want to try and experience new outcomes. TOEFL and transcript are only one piece, as the interview and portfolio may be as much value in some cases.”
