Colgate is located in Hamilton, NY, a small town with a population about equal to the size of the student body. Living the Liberal Arts in our Third Century prioritizes the living learning environment, as well as enhancing the campus environment for a sustainable future, and evolving Colgate’s dynamic curriculum, with special emphasis on global programming. The University offers the nation’s only full-semester study group at the National Institutes of Health. Sustainable Transportation. The Green Bikes Program is a bicycle rental program providing an affordable, healthy, and convenient way to move around the Colgate campus and local community. Students, faculty, and staff can rent a Green Bike for a nominal fee. The Colgate Cruiser has routes cover the residence halls, campus apartments and townhouses, locations near the academic quad, the local grocery store, and the heart of the village. The shuttle is free for all to ride, and helps to reduce the number of personal vehicles on the road. To encourage the use of electric cars on campus, Level 2 ChargePoint stations have been installed on several locations on campus.

Student Reviews…

“It’s a small school that manages to feel bigger than it is. There’s always something to do on campus and you never have to be bored. It is academically rigorous for some majors, especially in the STEM area, but your professors are willing to help out and office hours do a lot for you.”
