Envisioning Baroque Rome. As one of the featured projects of Emory Center for Digital Scholarship, this digital humanities project provides an online, 3D, walkable reconstruction of the city of Rome ca. 1676, using the gaming platform Unity. Visitors can enter the streets of the Baroque city as virtual pedestrians and navigate various sites and scenes. Envisioning Baroque Rome recaptures piazzas, streets, fountains, and architecture lost to the urban renewal campaigns of the intervening centuries.

“The campus is one of the most beautiful and safest I have seen. New buildings are constantly being built or older ones remolded. The people are truly the heart of this institution. Students and faculty provide a welcoming and intellectually stimulating environment.”
