Trinity-Pawling believes that an appreciation of one’s own worth can best be discovered by experiencing the worth of others, by understanding the value of one’s relationship with others, and by acquiring a sense of self confidence that comes through living and working competently at the level of one’s own potential. The heart of our philosophy is the effort system which rewards a boy based on his effort in various aspects of school life. We offer over 100 courses with 17 AP courses. The school offers a wide variety of extracurricular programs and athletic teams of all levels of ability. The school is part of the Founders League.

Located on 150 acres high on a hill overlooking the Hudson River Valley, Trinity-Pawling boasts stately brick architecture, sweeping green fields and a picture postcard view. If T-P is beautiful on the outside, experience it from the inside and its magic truly becomes apparent.

 Academics

The school’s Effort System is the pivot around which life at school revolves. Boys receive effort grades in seven different areas of life on campus: attendance and discipline, extracurricular activities, the campus work program, athletic life, dormitory life, academic attitude, and a boy’s grades.

 Special Highlights

Pawling Concert Series. Trinity-Pawling School hosts this series that presents classical, jazz, and ethnic music concerts to the school community and to music enthusiasts from a thirty mile radius. The series started in 1973 and is supported by the New York State Council on the Arts. Students attend with discounted tickets and help as ushers and behind the scenes.

The Phoenix. The Phoenix is an institution that has always held to three main principles: Integrity, Quality, and Acceptance. Reporting reliably and honestly, publishing only the highest caliber of prose, and including all people, ideas, and beliefs; Trinity-Pawling’s weekly school newspaper is founded on these fundamental pillars and works untiringly to reach this purest state of being.
