The Bolles School is a private college preparatory school with an international reputation for excellence. Located in Jacksonville, Florida, the school enrolls more than 1,700 boarding and day students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 on four campuses. Bolles focuses on a complete education that emphasizes excellence in academics, the arts, athletics and other activities like clubs and community service. Students can pursue their interests and learn to balance a rich variety of activities. Our rigorous programs prepare students for future success, and 100 percent of our graduating seniors go on to college.
The Bolles School prepares students for college and life by inspiring achievement, integrity, confidence, and compassion in an academic community dedicated to nurturing mind, body, and soul. Accordingly, Bolles provides an unequaled breadth of opportunities and experiences which enable every student to optimize his or her unique interests, abilities, and talents.
At the upper school, students experience the culmination of all which Bolles offers in educational excellence and college preparation. Offering small class sizes, a highly qualified faculty, guidance from academic advisors and college counselors, and a curriculum which promotes individual motivation and makes learning a stimulating experience, Bolles students are provided the opportunity to discover all things possible through their academic pursuits.
Project LinkUp. The LinkUp Program provides each resident student with a host family. These families invite their resident student or students to their home for dinner, provide cookies or other treats, and generally assist the resident staff in providing a family-like atmosphere for resident students. The program is voluntary, and students have the opportunity to sign up for a LinkUp family at the beginning of each school year.
Exchange Programs. The Department of Languages offers unique experiences through exchanges with schools in France, Japan, China, and Spain. These programs offer the participants the extraordinary opportunity of living in a setting which permits them to gain an unequalled insight into the language and culture being studied. Each day they learn something new, be it of a linguistic or a cultural nature. Students attend school and go on field trips. They live life as a teen in another culture. Literally everywhere they go and everything they do is a learning experience, a learning experience which will change the way they see the world—and the way the world sees them.
