Southwestern Academy is a college preparatory boarding/day school providing a structured, individualized and supportive academic environment. Our goal is to prepare our students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and self-motivated leaders who will impact the global community of the 21st century. Here, you can reach your highest potential, participate in sports and activities, and make lifelong friendships. Our students study on two picturesque and complementary campuses in San Marino, California, and Rimrock, Arizona.
Southwestern Academy offers you something unique and special. It’s more than a place to maximize your learning, explore new interests, develop new talents, and prepare for the college of your choice. It’s also a place where you’ll belong.
Southwestern offers and shall continue to offer programs to strengthen students through small classes – normally of eight to twelve students – with personalized lessons, achievement grouping, two unique campuses in safe environments, and especially by supporting student achievements through an involved, nurturing, caring staff who create an environment for individual student success.
Student Government. Most of our students never thought of holding a leadership position in the student government…until they came to Southwestern. Then they felt comfortable and confident to be part of the Student Council. All positions help students learn how to lead and represent others effectively.
Clubs. No matter what your interest, you’re sure to find a club or society where you’ll meet like-minded students who share your excitement. Southwestern Interact Club allows you to donate some of your time to those in need. As part of Rotary International, Interact is a club with inspiration. Southwestern International Club provides ways to understand the cultures in our global school. The club’s motto is “Southwestern is One Big Family.”
