Shattuck-St. Mary’s is a coeducational boarding and day school in Faribault, Minnesota, for students in grades 6-12. Our Centers of Excellence include BioScience, figure skating, ice hockey, soccer, and the arts. Combined with our rigorous college preparatory program, students have what we call “the & Experience” and it is at the heart of what makes Shattuck-St. Mary’s so unique…
Shattuck-St. Mary’s honors the trust that parents place in us and embraces that responsibility as we prepare students to live and compete in a very complex and shrinking world. Whether you are considering Shattuck-St. Mary’s for one of our ten Centers of Excellence in academics, the arts or athletics, or are interested in a broad range of curricular and co-curricular offerings intentionally designed to explore and expand horizons, we are dedicated to supporting each student’s passion to pursue individual excellence. During their years here, students will find a family-like environment grounded with an appropriate amount of challenge and support, filled in by celebrations of their achievements.
Our Academic Centers of Excellence include the Honors Program, the BioScience Program and the Center for Academic Achievement. All three programs have additional applications that are required for participation. The Honors Program allows a select group of highly motivated grade 10-12 students to accelerate their studies and focus on areas of specialized interest. The BioScience Program is designed to connect students interested in the medical and bioscience fields to the rich resources in Minnesota’s “medical alley.” Our Center for Academic Achievement provides support, resources and instruction for students with mild learning differences.
Global Education Program. Shattuck-St. Mary’s is a true global community with students from more than 20 countries. The Global Education Program was developed to help international students and their parents navigate life at an American boarding school. From providing extensive ESL support, to staying in close touch with parents, to bridging cultural differences within the school community, the Global Education Program creates a cohesive experience for international students.
Blended Learning Program. The Blended Learning Program in our Upper School has a goal to create an academic experience that includes rigorous college preparatory coursework; opportunities for independent research, internships, and creative projects; and development of twenty-first century skills.
