Salem Academy is a private college-preparatory school that offers girls with high aspirations a rigorous education in a homelike atmosphere. We provide a balanced curriculum—from physics to piano, from art to Latin, from algebra to humanities. We nurture an environment where students can lead full and happy lives, growing into young women of ideas and accomplishments. Now in its third century of sustaining a community in which girls learn best, Salem Academy remains dedicated to fostering the intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical growth of young women.

Safe and beautiful, the campus that encompasses Salem Academy provides the perfect backdrop for snapshots that capture the serious, the lighthearted, the intense, the fun. Picture yourself at Salem Academy.

 Academics

The educational quality of Salem Academy emanates directly from a superb faculty whose members come to know their students in an intimate learning environment. In small classes characterized by lively discussions and debates, each girl has the opportunity to be known—and a chance to be heard.

What the school looks for in students…

“A successful Salem student is a young woman who is academically minded and motivated, but also one who wants to fully engage in the school community. Life at Salem is not only about what happens inside the classroom, but it is about trying new things.”
